Python Backend Engineer RemoteHYR Global Source is seeking a strong Python Backend Engineer with hands-on experience designing and developing scalable backend applications and REST APIs.This is primarily a backend engineering role; however, the selected engineer may occasionally need to contribute to frontend development. Candidates who combine strong Python backend expertise with frontend capabilities and cloud-native application experience will have a significant advantage and are most likely to succeed in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.Build secure, reliable, and high-performance REST APIs.Develop backend services, business logic, integrations, and data-processing components.Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.Contribute to frontend development using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js when required.Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS and/or GCP.Own infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and GitLab.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across cloud environments.Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and productivity.Collaborate with product managers, architects, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other technical teams.Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering, security, and cloud-development best practices.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on Python development experience.Solid experience building backend applications and REST APIs.Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.Strong understanding of API design, authentication, application security, and performance.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Strong cloud background in AWS and/or GCP.Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications.Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD, and deployment automation.Experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is strongly preferred.Experience using AI-assisted development tools.Working knowledge of React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
