You will leverage AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and automation to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and expand what small teams can accomplish.This role is not just about writing code — it’s about orchestrating systems of humans and AI. You will use tools like Claude Code, Anti-gravity, GitHub Copilot, autonomous coding agents, and intelligent pipelines to design, build, test, and operate software more efficiently than traditional approaches.You should have a strong desire to experiment with emerging technologies, embrace rapid iteration, and continuously evolve how software is built.What You’ll DoDesign, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications using modern architectureLeverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, code generation, automated refactoring)Build and integrate agentic workflows (multi-step AI-driven processes) into engineering and product featuresCollaborate with product and design to rapidly prototype and iterate using AI accelerationOwn features end-to-end, from concept to production, including observability and performanceSupport development on modern web and mobile apps, as well as work on legacy .NET applications.Continuously improve development velocity through automation, tooling, and intelligent systemsContribute to system design for distributed, event-driven, and microservices architecturesParticipate in incident response, using automation and AI to diagnose and resolve issues fasterIn your first 30 days, you will:Contribute towards the planning, tasking, and execution at all levels of the agile experienceLeading discussions on issues and solutions for requirements generated by external customers and internal departmentsGet four features ready for delivery following the defined development process, and deploy the features to productionBe able to demonstrate new development in stand-ups to the organization’s product ownershipDive into critical escalations and be a contributing participant in operationsDeliver value to FRONTSTEPS engineering and make friends while you’re at itOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field, or 3-5 years equivalent development work experience in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 1 year working with AI to generate code and tests, with agentic development skills preferredMinimum 5 years’ experience in C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework, MVC, object-oriented programming, and Web API’sMinimum 3 years of experience architecting cloud-scale software solutionsMinimum 1 year of experience creating applications using Docker containersMinimum 1 year with TypeScript and JavaScriptMinimum 2 years with React/Angular/Vue or React NativeExperience designing distributed software deployments using AzureDemonstrated experience with high-traffic Azure environmentsDemonstrated experience in computing architecture and I/O subsystemsWorking knowledge of data center scale software infrastructure surrounding data analyticsAbility and interest in learning new technologies and methods that will take you out of your comfort zoneAbility to multitask in a startup environmentMinimum of 1 year Azure experience working with multiple types of deployments, VM, Functions, LogicApps, ServiceBusExperience in working with TCP/IP programming and networkingPreviously integrated with third-party providers via API’sExperience deploying with Azure Pipelines or other CI/CD tools is a plusCurrent Microsoft certification preferredPAY RANGE & DESCRIPTIONThis position will be based full-time out of our FRONTSTEPS' Denver, CO headquarters and pays $115,000 - $145,000 per year.
