GCP IAM Engineer (Associate)

Job Title: GCP IAM Engineer (Associate).Location: Plano, TX.Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire.Position Overview:We are seeking a GCP IAM Engineer to support the implementation and management of identity and access controls within Google Cloud Platform.This role focuses on securely onboarding applications, enforcing least-privilege access policies, and maintaining IAM configurations within a regulated enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities:Provision and manage GCP IAM roles, bindings, and service accounts across multiple projects.Implement least-privilege access models for application and user access.Automate IAM configuration and provisioning using Terraform and Git-based workflows.Support identity integrations and manage group and role mappings aligned with enterprise standards.Troubleshoot and resolve access and authentication issues across GCP environments.Maintain audit-ready documentation, including access approvals, deployment records, and operational runbooks.Collaborate with platform, security, and network teams to ensure secure application onboarding.Required Qualifications:Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform IAM (roles, policies, service accounts, policy inheritance).Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.Strong understanding of Git workflows and pull request processes.Scripting experience using Python for automation or validation tasks.Familiarity with change management and release processes in controlled or regulated environments.
