PCA Personal Care Assistant
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This role involves assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of patients in various healthcare settings.
Duties
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist patients with mobility and transportation within the facility
- Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to the healthcare team
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in emergency medicine, geriatrics, or hospital medicine is advantageous
- Familiarity with inpatient care procedures and medical terminology is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment such as a Level I Trauma Center or PICU
- Strong communication skills and empathy when interacting with patients
- Certification or training in medical-surgical care is a plus

Pay: $17.20 - $17.57 per hour
