If you are passionate about solving big problems and building the future of vision care, we would love to hear from you.Role OverviewEyebot is seeking a Controller to own and execute the company’s day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, visibility, and operational rigor, enabling the VP of Operations and executive team to focus on forecasting, strategic planning, and business decision-making.The Controller will manage core financial processes including accounting, cash management, vendor payments, budgeting support, and financial reporting, while also supporting capital planning and external financial relationships. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in an early-stage environment and enjoys building scalable financial systems.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & AccountingOwn day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll coordination, expense management, and general ledger oversightMaintain accurate monthly closes and financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit readinessPartner with external accountants, tax advisors, and payroll providersCash & Vendor ManagementManage cash flow tracking and short-term liquidity visibilityOversee vendor payments, invoicing processes, and contract-linked financial obligationsSupport procurement-related financial workflows, including equipment purchases and supplier termsReporting & Executive SupportPrepare regular financial reporting packages for the VP of Operations, providing clear insight into spend, burn, and operational performanceSupport the VP of Operations with clean, reliable financial inputs used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planningDevelop and maintain financial dashboards and operating metricsCapital & Financial Planning SupportAssist with financial analysis related to equipment investments, infrastructure scaling, and growth initiativesSupport financing-related activities, including research, documentation, and coordination with external partners as neededContribute to longer-term financial planning, fundraising support, and investor reportingProcess Improvement & ScaleBuild and refine scalable finance processes appropriate for a regulated, hardware-enabled startupImprove documentation, controls, and financial discipline as the company growsCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, regulatory, engineering, and leadership teamsQualifications4-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or operational finance rolesExperience in startups or high-growth environments strongly preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles, cash management, and financial operationsHands-on experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks)Comfortable owning execution while supporting strategic decision-makingStrong attention to detail paired with the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholdersNice to HaveExperience supporting hardware, healthcare, or regulated businessesExposure to equipment financing, capital planning, or fundraising supportPrior experience working closely with operations or supply-chain teamsWhy This Role MattersThis role is foundational to Eyebot’s ability to scale responsibly.
