This includes all aspects of understanding parts inventory, communication for support, container inventory, picking, adhering to all shipment SWI’s. Understanding customer expectations and escalating to Supervisors and leads needed.This individual should be a team player, have excellent communication skills and the ability to show previous successes and improvements implemented on their behalf within previous Production Control or Shipping roles. Teamwork is critical in this position.Main Duties And Responsibilities Understand all loading and picking requirements for EK shipments to TMMTX. Audit totes for part accuracy. Assign picking, loading and unloading duties to your team. Report out any imminent late or short shipments to your lead and supervisor and assist with rectifying through communication with your supervisor. Escalate to your supervisors when abnormal situations present themselves. Use a continuous improvement approach to increasing efficiency and increasing safety. Reduce potential property damage. Uphold standardized work as the key tool for success in your area. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Holding themselves accountable for following all safety and other policies and procedures, as well as behavior and performance that does not meet company expectations. Candidates may be assigned or trained on Forklift to complete tasks at hand. Other duties may be assigned.Requirements Education: High school diploma or GEDExperience Minimum of 6 months in order selecting or warehouse experience. Candidate must have some experience in scanning against shipper’s or picking sheets.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations NoneComputer Skills Use of a scanning gun/ or wrist scanner to scan totes coming in from the finished goods in warehouse.Mathematical Abilities Basic math skills.Analytical Or Reasoning Abilities Minimal analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning) Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.SkillsOther Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities) Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work. Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks. Takes initiative, approaches others in a positive and constructive manner, and works well independently to achieve results.Physical Requirements 100% of the time will be spent on the production plant floors walking, standing and engaged in the activities associated with the role. Be comfortable with lifting, squatting, and repetitive motion. Must be able to team lift a minimum of 50 pounds, 25 pounds alone.
