Logistics Analyst

Job Title: Logistics Analyst Job Location: Thibodaux, LA Job Duration: 6 Months+ contract (Possibility of extension) NOTE: Must be proficient in Excel-Vlookups, Pivot tables. Job Description: Top skillsets: · Must be proficient in Excel-Vlookups, Pivot tables · Planning and organization experience · Experience in policy/regulations- abilitity to learn · Strong communication skills both internally/externally. Responsibilities: · Execute supply chain planning activities within a defined framework/system of low complexity, primarily affecting own organization or unit. On-time tracking of shipping, preparing shipping documents, working with internal partners to get machines to shipping. (PLEASE NOTE, this is a data driven role and talent will not be physically working in the shipping area. ) · Support shipping, hazardous materials, and inbound/outbound logistics coordination to assist warehouse and logistics managers · Carry out a range of supplier management activities to support others or fulfill the requirements of the role. · Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats, working independently. · Respond effectively to routine functional inquiries, following established procedures and precedents. · Contribute to reviews of existing operations in assigned work areas and assist in generating new ideas for continuous improvement. · Develop knowledge of organizational policies/procedures and relevant regulatory codes; ensure adherence and seek supervisor authorization for exceptions. · Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers/suppliers. · Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and departmental systems, advising colleagues and improving processes.
