We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and help deliver on our mission of hope and recovery.Position Purpose: As an Addiction Counselor in our Adult Outpatient Program, you'll serve as a primary counselor in the delivery of substance use disorder treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. In this role, you will develop an individualized treatment plan for assigned clients, facilitate group and individual sessions and be part of a team in the delivery of addictions treatment services ensuring services are provided in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.Qualifications/Basic Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, or commensurate experience and training preferred.Associate's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field required.Minimum tCADC/CADC, LBSW, LMSW, tLMHC/LMHC or other state or national licensure that supersedes the tCADC.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with electronic health record systems strongly preferred.Ability to accurately complete required documentation within prescribed time frames.Skilled in conducting individual, family, and group counseling.Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff, or community resources.Self-starter with ability to work independently.Ability to work within a team.Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.Essential Responsibilities Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members. Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame. Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs. Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery. Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients. Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by licensure, TJC and Medicaid regulations. Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans). Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated. Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups. Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
