Operating for over 20 years, we manufacture both our own branded products and custom formulations for external partners. We are a lean, hands-on business with a production facility in Monterey Park. Our team works closely across finance, operations, procurement, and leadership. Our environment is practical, fast-moving, and built around problem solving. About the Role We are seeking a Manufacturing Finance Lead (based 100% onsite at our Monterey Park facility) who has worked in a food, supplement, or ingredient-related environment to own accounting operations and financial oversight for our production environment. This role is highly operational. The right person will understand how money flows through a manufacturing ecosystem — from raw material sourcing to WIP, finished goods, margin analysis, and cost modeling. NetSuite proficiency is required, but this is not a NetSuite architect role. The focus is manufacturing financial fluency, cost structure understanding, and pragmatic decision-making. You will work directly with ownership and operations leadership and must be comfortable operating in ambiguity and gray areas typical of a founder-led business. Responsibilities: Manufacturing & Cost Accounting (Primary Focus) Own cost accounting in a contract manufacturing environment Model product costs (materials, labor, overhead, freight, landed costs) Analyze SKU-level margins and identify cost drivers Partner with operations on BOM accuracy, production reporting, and inventory flow Monitor WIP, variances, shrinkage, and reserves Accounting & Reporting Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation Maintain reconciliations and ensure GAAP-aligned practices Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning Work with external accountants and tax advisors Systems Use NetSuite as the system of record (inventory, GL, reporting) Maintain item records, basic reporting, and financial dashboards Troubleshoot routine system issues independently Founder-Facing Support Provide practical financial guidance in real-world scenarios Balance technical accounting standards with business realities Operate comfortably without excessive structure or bureaucracy Qualifications: 5–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Direct experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial flows in production settings NetSuite proficiency (inventory and financial modules) Ability to work onsite full time in Monterey Park Basic Spanish proficiency (spoken and/or working fluency required) Required Skills: Experience in supplements, food, CPG, or contract manufacturing Experience working directly with founders or owner-operators Background in small-to-mid-sized manufacturing companies Comfort navigating ambiguity and incomplete documentation Basic conversational Spanish Preferred Skills: You will do well in this role if: You understand how production businesses actually operate You can model cost scenarios and explain margin implications clearly You are practical, flexible, and solutions-oriented You are comfortable working directly with ownership You prefer impact and ownership over corporate hierarchy Pay range and compensation package: $150,000 – $175,000 base salary + full benefits Long-term opportunity in a stable, founder-led manufacturing company. xywuqvp Equal Opportunity Statement: We are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.
