This role oversees multiple concurrent construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven leadership managing all phases of construction work, and deep familiarity with public-sector building programs. Experience supporting school renovations, emergency response projects, and modernization of work is highly valued.This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to interpret complex contract documents, and a strong problem solving mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple active construction contracts simultaneously across various NYC boroughsLead project planning, kickoff, phasing, and logistics for emergency, renovation, and modernization projectsCoordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and stakeholdersOversee project schedules, Two Weeks Lookahead updates, milestone tracking, and critical path activitiesManage all phases of construction work, including mobilization, site operations, temporary protections, structural repairs, interior renovations, and new facility buildoutsEnsure compliance with contract documents, specifications, drawings, and standardsIdentify field issues and coordinate timely resolutions with design teams and contractorsSupport construction activities in occupied school facilities, ensuring safety and minimal disruptionReview drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, bulletins, and change ordersTrack and coordinate submittals, design clarifications, and approvalsMaintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycleSupport special inspections, DOB coordination, and quality assurance processesServe as a primary point of contact for SCA Senior Project Officers, school administrators, and agency representativesProvide clear, concise, written, and verbal communication regarding project status, risks, and required actionsPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports, meeting minutes, and closeout documentationProvide direction to inspectors, assistant superintendents, contract control staff, and administrative personnelSupport team development, task prioritization, and coordination across multiple project sitesPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and high-quality performanceHere's what you'll needBachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a construction related field from an accredited college or universityMinimum of eight (8) years of full time experience as a technical specialist in construction or design related fieldsMinimum of four (4) years managing all phases of construction work on multiple contractsExperience in new construction, rehabilitation, and modernization projectsStrong ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and contract documentsClear and concise oral and written communication skillsProven problem-solving ability in complex construction environmentsPreferred Experience (based on Daniel & Ehab's profiles)Experience supporting NYCSCA emergency response, RED DOT assignments, and school renovation programsBackground in construction inspections, safety oversight, drainage, civil work, and site coordinationExperience working with public agencies such as NYCSCA, NYCHA, DDC, DASNY, or similarFamiliarity with NYC DOB filing, rules, and regulatory requirementsTechnical SkillsConstruction project managementContract document interpretationScheduling & milestone trackingRFI, submittal, and change order coordinationFollow the safety requirements as per the NYCDOB/OSHA and SCA safety ManualQuality assurance & complianceStrong communication & leadershipProficiency with Microsoft Office and project reporting toolsPosted Salary Range: Minimum 145,000.00. Posted Salary Range: Upper 155,000.00The base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 to $155,000.00.
