Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable financial insights while strengthening internal controls aligned with CAS, FAR, and DFAR requirements. This is an opportunity to step into a high-visibility role where your expertise will help guide decision-making, improve processes, and build a finance function that can scale with continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and TaxOwn the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readinessPrepare and review financial statements and reporting packages, delivering clear and reliable insights to leadershipPartner with operational and functional teams to provide financial guidance and improve decision-makingSupervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team aligned with business growthReview T&E reporting, AP check runs, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and complianceStrengthen and maintain internal controls, including ERP system governance (Deltek Costpoint preferred)Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, DFAR, and GAAP standards across all accounting activitiesAnalyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunitiesResearch and resolve complex accounting issues with a solutions-oriented mindsetSupport audits and maintain readiness in a regulated, defense-focused environmentDrive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting capabilitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field8+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong working knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFAR regulationsDeep experience with General Ledger and financial reportingProven leadership experience building and developing teamsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelPreferred QualificationsCPA or CMA certificationExperience across AP, AR, and Payroll functionsERP experience (Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred)ERP implementation, optimization, or system enhancement experienceExperience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrationsOther RequirementsTravel: 5-10% (occasional international exposure)Work Environment: Office setting with periodic interaction in manufacturing environmentsRequirements: Background investigation, drug screen, and U.S. Person status requiredWhy This OpportunityDirect impact on programs supporting defense and advanced manufacturingHigh-visibility role with leadership exposure and influenceOpportunity to build, improve, and scale accounting operationsCollaborative environment focused on accountability, quality, and long-term successEOE/ADA
