Optometric Technician

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a positive and reliable team player with strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities: Take patient histories and perform pre-testing Work with the front desk to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner and have received all necessary testing prior to being seen by the doctor. Assist doctor by performing any necessary special testing Maintain and organize testing and exam rooms Coordinate with specialists on referrals and follow up to obtain notes and updates Collaborate with team members to achieve practice objectives and contribute to a positive work environment. Cross-train on front desk operations, including: Answering phone and scheduling appointments Check-in and check-out processes Checking insurance eligibility Handle insurance and private pay transactions accurately and efficiently Assist with optical services as needed, including: Assist customers in selecting eyewear products, including glasses/contact lenses based on lifestyle needs, prescription, and preferences Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience Qualifications: Previous experience or customer service background is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude. Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously. Comfortable discussing patient's financial responsibilities and collecting amounts due Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
