Iron Sheepdog is revolutionizing the short-haul industry and we are growing quickly. As we scale from 39 to 70+ personnel over the coming 12-month window of aggressive scaling, our Director of People will serve as the chief architect of our high-performing talent engine and lead the strategic creation of a Human Resources department for our rapidly growing company. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Talent AcquisitionAggressive Growth: Design and execute a recruitment strategy to hire 30+ high-performing team members across engineering, sales, and operations within 12 months.Industry-Specific Sourcing: Build a pipeline that targets both specialized tech talent and logistics professionals who understand the nuances of the construction supply chain.Selection Excellence: Standardize interview rubrics to ensure every hire aligns with our "White-Glove Service" philosophy and high-growth mindset.Culture & Organizational HealthThe "Sheepdog" Culture: Protect and evolve our culture during rapid scaling. You will ensure that as we grow, we remain a flat, fast-moving organization that values transparency and results.Employee Engagement: Implement "Pulse" feedback loops using Slack and Gemini-driven analytics to identify and resolve organizational friction before it impacts productivity.Operational Infrastructure & ComplianceScalable Onboarding: Develop "Sheepdog Academy," a comprehensive onboarding program that integrates new hires into our internal ecosystem (Jira, Slack, HighLevel CRM, Google Workspace) within their first week.Legal Oversight: Act as the primary authority on multi-state labor law compliance, worker classification (1099 vs. W2), and HR policy management.Total Rewards: Partner with the CEO and Finance to manage compensation benchmarks, benefits, and QuickBooks-integrated payroll systems.Performance & TrainingGrowth Frameworks: Establish performance evaluation systems that tie individual output directly to our aggressive 2026 and 2029 ARR targets.Training Programs: Lead the development of ongoing training for our specialized software tools and construction-logistics workflows.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 7+ years of HR/People Operations experienceIndustry Knowledge: Direct experience in logistics, supply chain, or construction-tech is highly preferred. You must speak the language of both software engineers and fleet managers.Tech-Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
