Financial Controller
Our client is an Accounting, Finance, and Administration company with technology platforms and consultant service offerings for the non-profit world. They currently serve more than 500 clients located throughout the U.S. and overseas. Their team delivers support in all areas of administration, including donor care and engagement, donation processing and receipting, treasury management, accounting, reporting, financial planning, U.S. and international taxation, human resources, payroll, and benefit administration, all of which form a strong support foundation vitally important to front-line mission success. This dynamic organization seeks a Financial Controller to join their team to help manage the growth and success of the organization.Ideal candidates have a passion for serving others, demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness, and a desire to apply broad financial and technology skills to the firm and the clients that they serve. Additionally, candidates should have an active Certified Public Accountant license and enjoy working in an office environment. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and support all areas of financial operations, including the full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes, financial reporting, treasury, and compliance.Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance teamHelp ensure an effective control environment and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other reporting requirementsLead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reportingMonitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needsDevelop financial forecasts, analyze performance, identify variance drivers, and provide actionable insightsProactively identify opportunities to improve financial systems, policies, and proceduresPartner with leadership to support risk management, business performance reporting, strategic planning, and decision makingCoordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors Qualifications Active Certified Public Accountant license3 to 10 years of progressive experienceHigh integrity, enthusiastic, and passionate, able to build positive relationships and lead a teamStrong organization, time management, and communication skillsComfortable with applying technology solutions to improve financial and business operationsBSc or BA in Accounting or Finance is requiredMS in Accounting or Finance is preferredNon-profit experience is a plusInternational non-profit or business experience is a plusTax compliance experience is a plus
