Digital Marketing Specialist
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports the execution and optimization of the University of Maine’s digital marketing efforts for student recruitment and institutional marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for managing paid media, improving campaign performance, and ensuring that digital marketing efforts effectively reach and convert target audiences.Housed within the Division of Marketing and Communications, this position serves as a central resource for digital marketing execution, working in close partnership with Enrollment Management, academic units, and program-level marketers. The role collaborates with colleagues supporting graduate and online initiatives to align strategy and execution, and may lead select campaigns in these areas as needed. Typical hiring range for this position is $56,000 to $64,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across paid search, social, display, and programmatic advertising channels.Lead digital campaign strategy and execution for undergraduate recruitment and institutional brand initiatives, while supporting graduate and online program marketing efforts.Manage campaign performance, conversion optimization, and A/B testing across ads, landing pages, and audience targeting strategies.Oversee campaign tracking, attribution, analytics, and reporting to measure engagement, lead generation, and conversion outcomes.Coordinate digital marketing efforts across Enrollment Management, academic units, and decentralized campus marketing teams to improve consistency and reduce duplication.Collaborate with Admissions Marketing, Content Strategy, Brand Studio, and Digital teams to align messaging, creative assets, web experiences, and conversion strategies.Support optimization of user journeys, landing pages, and academic program webpages to improve engagement and enrollment conversion.Manage digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and tracking infrastructure while staying current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or performance marketing.Experience managing paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.Strong understanding of conversion optimization, A/B testing, and campaign performance analysis.Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and attribution models.Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in decentralized organizations.PreferredExperience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, TargetX, or similar)Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Looker Studio Experience with tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager Full job description: https://fa-ewca-saasfaprod1.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/job/2768For full consideration, materials must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. EST on June 12, 2026.
