Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack
Overview:
In this role you will build, maintain, and scale Tanium's products within a cross-functional, Agile team. You'll contribute from idea to delivery, iterating with product management and customers to ensure solutions meet real-world needs. You will work on core components that unify data, drive dashboards, and expose data via APIs for partners. This position emphasizes both robust backend services and responsive frontend work to deliver end-to-end value. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Tanium products with an agile team
- Design, develop and test new product ideas from ground up with product feedback
- Contribute to common data services for unifying endpoint data and time-series analytics
- Deliver higher-level services enabling security, operations, and auditing
Key requirements:
- 5+ years industry experienceExperience designing and building scalable backend services and APIsKnowledge of at least one of Golang, Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Rust
- Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and frontend technologies
- Relational databases experience (Postgres, SQL, or MySQL)HTTP API design and development experienceExperience with git and Jenkins
- Sound judgment balancing rapid development with maintainability
- Belief in automated testing as part of development
- Ability to debug and resolve production issues
- Knowledge of modern server-side and client-side frameworkscollaborationproblem-solvingability to work under pressure
