Paralegal

The Paralegal role is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks in support of the legal department including governance, compliance, and transaction matters. This role works closely with the legal team and company executives to ensure the organization’s legal and regulatory obligations are met efficiently and accurately. This position has significant project-based or process maintenance responsibilities specific to the function of the legal department. The goal of this position is to contribute to the operating efficiency of the legal department. Responsibilities:Support the Legal Department in connection with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.Serve as a primary point of contact among executives, internal teams, investors, lenders, brokers, outside counsel, and third-party vendors.Prepare presentations, reports, correspondence, and expense reports for legal and executive leadership.Maintain and organize legal and transaction documents, document management systems, and closing materials.Track transaction timelines, critical dates, filings, approvals, and post-closing obligations.Assist with drafting and organizing commercial real estate and related legal documents under attorney supervision.Coordinate entity formation, qualification, and ongoing compliance; maintain corporate and real estate entity records, resolutions, and consents.Organize and track notices, claims, and litigation matters related to portfolio assets.Partner cross-functionally with finance, asset management, development, and operations teams to support transaction execution.Provide executive-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and travel arrangements.Lead and complete special projects and process improvements for the Legal Department. QualificationsBachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate preferred10+ years of in-house legal or commercial real estate legal department experienceExperience supporting legal teams, executives, or commercial real estate transactions in a law firm or in-house environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems; experience with transaction or entity management platforms a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and discretion.Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Personal Attributes: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and self-motivated individualInterest or experience in the commercial real estate industry preferred, but not necessaryDemonstrate critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment and have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasksCollaborative, team-oriented individual with a strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and ability to assimilate into a strong team culturePrevious experience in an administrative roleHigh degree of proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
