And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.For our business, for clients, and for youThe Role & Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Technical OversightReview entity‑level accounting, including journal entries, data uploads, monthly close procedures, and financial statement preparation.Review monthly P&L estimates, quarterly financial reporting, and supporting schedules for real estate investments across property and venture structures.Review partner allocations, waterfalls, capital accounts, and investment performance calculations.Support external audit processes through the review of workpapers, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting documentation.Ensure compliance with internal control procedures, accounting policies, and quality assurance standards.Leadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and manage onshore and offshore accounting teams, overseeing workload allocation and a structured calendar of deliverables.Provide formal and informal training on technical accounting and real estate investment concepts.Participate in the semi‑annual performance review process and deliver clear, actionable feedback.Client & Stakeholder ManagementMaintain and manage multiple client relationships, delivering excellent internal and external customer service.Serve as a senior point of contact for escalations, inquiries, and strategic discussions related to accounting and reporting.Operational Excellence & ProjectsReview and approve cash support packages, vendor setups, and invoice processing workflows.Analyze existing processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.Lead special projects, system enhancements, and cross‑functional initiatives aligned to business priorities.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in investment accounting, real estate accounting, or public accounting (Big 4/real estate audit experience preferred).Deep technical expertise in real estate investment accounting and/or real estate property accounting, including venture structures, waterfalls, and allocations.Proficiency in MS Excel (SUM functions, VLOOKUP, Index/Match, PivotTables; Macros/OLEDB experience a plus).Experience with Yardi, MRI, or Investran preferred.Strong management and leadership skills with experience overseeing onshore/offshore teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Outstanding client relationship skills with proven success supporting internal and external stakeholders.Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and adaptable in managing shifting priorities and multiple deliverables.We pride ourselves in our commitment to fostering a connected and inclusive culture, all our opportunities at Apex have four (4) days in office requirement.Salary ranges from USD $ 115,000 - $ 130,000 additional market competitive variable uncapped compensation based on performance.
