Job Type: Full time, 40 hoursLocation: Taunton, MAProgram Type: Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI)Program Name: Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC)Salary Range: Starting salary $43,000Work Location: Office, remoteDescription of PositionAs a Family Partner supporting the Emergency Services Program, you will be a valuable ally for families and caregivers of those who are experiencing serious emotional difficulties. You will look to your lived experiences and support others as they learn new coping skills. You’ll also have unparalleled support and learning opportunities working with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, supervisors, and physicians.Responsibilities:Client CareProvide peer support to parents and caregivers served by the MCILearn the family’s story, culture, strengths, and concernsBe a consistent source of encouragement and hopeGive non-judgmental, unconditional support Model effective coping techniques Engage parent/caregiver in activities in the home and community Assist the parent/caregiver with meeting the needs of the youth with the purpose of educating, supporting, coaching, modeling, and guidingEmpower parent/caregiver with links to peer/parent support and self-help groups in the communityTeach the parent/caregiver how to identify natural and community-based resources (e.g., after-school programs, food assistance, housing resources, etc.)Clinical SupportServe as liaison, ensuring family and providers understand each other’s perspective and informationMeet weekly with an independently licensed clinician for supervisionComply with all CCBC personnel policies and procedures related to employmentEducation & TrainingLived experience as a caregiver of a youth with serious emotional disturbanceExperience navigating any of the child and family-serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systemsHigh school diploma/GED or college diploma and a minimum of 2 years working with children/families preferredWillingness to support families in the office, in community settings including schools and virtuallyThe candidate must possess good organizational skills, as well as effective verbal, written and computer skills.
