Job Order: *Pharmacy TechClient: CVS (Woonsocket, RI – remote role)Openings: 40Start date: 07/13/26Work Location: Remote (anywhere in the U.S.) — must be able to work Central Time (CST) hoursEmployment Type: W2 contract (Contract-to-hire)Pay Rate: $20.00/hourSchedule: 40 hours/week (standard 8.5-hour workday)The Pharmacy Technician I (Prior Authorization) takes inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc., and provides professional, courteous assistance through a criteria-based prior authorization process. You will document interactions accurately and escalate clinical/judgment questions to the pharmacist team.You'll also assist with additional workflow needs such as outbound calls, processing prior authorizations received via fax/ePA, and responding to inquiries through department mailboxes.Training & Schedule Details (CST Required)Training: 07/13-08/31/2026 8a-4:30pm CST M-F (no time off permitted during training)Schedule Times: This position follows a standard 8.5-hour workdayPermanent schedule will be determined based on business needs after training is completed.Candidates must be comfortable working CST working hours while living anywhere in the U.S.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle high-volume inbound calls and provide accurate prior authorization supportMaintain complete, timely, accurate documentationTransfer clinical questions/escalations to the pharmacist teamSupport additional tasks: outbound calls, fax/ePA processing, mailbox monitoringNavigate multiple systems while completing data entry efficientlyRequired QualificationsActive Pharmacy Technician license (no restrictions) OR national pharmacy technician certification (or state registration/certification/licensure per state regulations)Strong customer service skills (verbal and written)Advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets); comfort working across multiple applicationsFamiliarity with medical terminology and coding (preferred/expected)ExperiencePrior authorization / PBM experience preferredHigh-volume call center experience strongly preferred (job notes emphasize 2+ years as ideal—please make this clear on the resume if applicable)Remote Work Requirements (Must Have)A HIPAA-compliant, distraction-free workspace (separate area, no interruptions)Wired internet meeting 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload minimumAbility to sit and stay focused for the full shift without interruptionsAbility to provide:Internet speed test screenshotLicense/certification screenshot
