Mechanical Engineer (Manhattan)

Job Description:We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a part time capacity, supporting our Real Estate – Project Planning and Development division. This role will support high-level decision-making across various initiatives supporting Utilities and Real Estate management from a senior Engineering perspective. We kindly request that only candidates who already possess the legal right to work in the United States apply for consideration.Responsibilities:Conduct site surveys and evaluate current mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) to determine capacity and suitability for expanded useCollaborate with facility management, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of new occupants and machineryIdentify potential mechanical upgrades or modifications needed to accommodate growth, including ventilation, cooling, heating, and utility demandsPrepare detailed reports with recommendations for system enhancements, including cost estimates and timelinesEnsure all proposed changes comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulationsSupport project planning and execution by providing technical guidance on mechanical aspects during construction or renovation phasesReview and approve mechanical design documents, specifications, and drawings related to personnel and equipment additionsMonitor and inspect completed work to verify adherence to engineering requirements and quality standardsUtilize experience in building systems and mechanical engineering to provide expert advice and problem-solving as neededCommunicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and mechanical needsMaintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and mechanical needs#cspro1036600
