CNC Programmers

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring for an experienced CNC Programmer for the Minden, La. area. The schedule is from Mondays thru Fridays working day shifts. Overtime is available. Pay rate is $20.70/hr. No per diem is offered. This is for a manufacturing facility and the position is a temp to permanent one for the right candidate. You will need to do a face to face interview. ***You will also need to pass a criminal background check and pass a pre-employment drug screen prior to starting.*** CNC Programmer Duties: Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with blueprints Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening CNC Programmer Job Requirements: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required Will need to have burn table experience. Must have strong attention to detail Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential Should have a positive and professional attitude Available to work weekends and overtime Capable of standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time Need to have a high school diploma or GED ***All candidates will need to pass a criminal background check (going back 7 years), drug screen (10-panel) and must do a face to face interview before being hired.*** If you are available and interested please respond to this job ad with your resume.
