CDL Class "A" Truck Driver (Sign-On Bonus $2,500)

Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:Operate company trucks on public roads to transport, load and unload material to EMS customersOperate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with generally accepted practices of safe drivingComplete a driver's logbook and vehicle inspection report according to DOT regulationsInspect vehicle and required equipment to determine safe operating conditions prior to departureReview shipping papers for nature of load and special handling requirements if anyCheck load to determine if it's properly secured and safeBackup truck to loading platform; turn narrow corners; negotiate narrow passageways; keep truck and trailer under control particularly on wet or icy highwaysWear safety equipment when handling materialSafely load and unload cargo as requiredMaintain the truck in a clean and safe mannerKeep tarp clean, neat, folded, and secured on trailerOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsQualifications:Class "A" CDL driver's licensePreferably 3 years of experience driving a 53ft tractor trailerNo more than one major traffic violation within the past 5 yearsLift and carry heavy material at least 75 lbs.; climb on and off a flatbed trailerPerform basic mathRead a tape measureThis is a fulltime position requiring 1 to 2 overnight stays per week. 4 Day work week and home on weekends.We are committed to providing a clean work environment with masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves.WE ARE A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE AND AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
