Maintenance Technician (Parkmerced)

Base Annual Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)Title: Maintenance TechnicianReports to: Senior Manager, MaintenancePrimary Function: Repairs and MaintenanceStatus: Full-Time, Non-ExemptLocation: Parkmerced, San Francisco, CASummaryBrick and Timber (the "Company") is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform apartment building Repair and Maintenance (R&M) projects at our Parkmerced location. The person that holds this position will need to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, maintain impeccably clean work areas, and effectively communicate with all residents and team members internally and externally.The Company is a property management company focused upon managing residential apartment properties in the Bay Area. We believe living spaces should have integrity and are deeply committed to our tenants.Primary ResponsibilitiesAddress repair and maintenance work orders as they arise across 100+ properties in and around San Francisco, CAAll plumbing, painting, and landscaping related work will be done by the corresponding union workers, for Parkmerced specificallyTypical independent assignments include, but are not limited to, troubleshoots, repairs Top vent wall heater, standing gas heaters, radiator heaters, hydronic heaters, electric heaters, base board heaters, installing, repairing, and replacing all plumbing fixtures, water heaters repairs, piping, and troubleshooting radiator heaters; electrical timers, replacing, and installing new electrical fixtures, switches, breakers, receptacles and electrical wall heaters; preparing and finishing all interior and exterior surfaces; moving, installing, repairing, and replacing household appliances. installing, repairing, and replacing drywall, painting, countertops installation, and cabinetry repairs; repairs and new installation of flooring LVP, Tile, wood, all groundskeeping tasksMinimum Requirements and Qualifications3+ years of related experience in multifamily property repairs and maintenanceKey Skills and CompetenciesProficient understanding and experience in all maintenance trades. Demonstrates appropriate use of standard hand and power toolsProficient technology and computer skillsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentMust be a good communicator (written and oral) and must be able to maintain effective documentationCapability to think critically, solve problems logically and make well-reasoned business decisionsProactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentSolid organizational skills including attention to details and multitasking capabilityExercise significant independent judgement, initiative, responsibility, and accountability
