This role works closely with the President, Founders, and Director of Human Resources and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll operations, and managing retirement plan administration.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential financial information in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications10+ years of accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll experienceStrong QuickBooks experience requiredExperience processing payroll; Paycor experience is a plusKnowledge of retirement plan administration, including SIMPLE IRA programsStrong Excel and Google Workspace skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailComfortable interacting with clients and company leadershipAbility to manage confidential information professionallyMust be able to work onsite in Hoffman Estates, Illinois as part of the hybrid scheduleIf you do not meet all the above required Qualifications -- STOP.DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsManage accounts payable and accounts receivable processesPrepare and send client invoicesMonitor incoming payments and collectionsReconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthlyProcess monthly company expenses and vendor paymentsMaintain accurate financial records in QuickBooksPayroll & Compensation SupportProcess semi-monthly payroll accurately and on scheduleAdminister commission calculations and distributionsSupport payroll reporting and related documentationCoordinate with HR on employee compensation mattersRetirement Plan AdministrationManage SIMPLE IRA contributions and reportingCoordinate retirement plan payments with the company’s brokerEnsure timely and accurate retirement account administrationAdministrative SupportWork closely with company leadership on operational and financial initiativesAssist with reporting, spreadsheets, and financial documentationSupport internal processes requiring organization, discretion, and attention to detailWhat We OfferHybrid work schedule with 2 remote days per weekCompetitive salary based on experienceSIMPLE IRA with 3% company match and immediate vesting$475/month employer contribution toward health and dental insuranceTwo weeks paid vacation during the first yearCasual, flexible, and supportive work environmentOpportunity to work directly with company leadership at a growing agencyAdditional InformationThis is not a remote position.
