We are looking for a Project Civil Engineer with 5-6 years of experience to join our Madison office. You will have the opportunity to contribute to many of our different market groups including Agricultural Engineering, Construction, and Civil Engineering, plus many more.Are you interested being part of a team and bringing your valuable skill set to all stages of transformative and challenging work?RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopment of project scope and budgetCoordination and execution of field activities/data collection in accordance with SOPs and QAPPsSupport the design for large animal facilities and agricultural waste management projects.Prepare stormwater and erosion control plans with Senior staff guidance and direction.Preparation of reports and requisite correspondenceConduct construction documentation services and site surveys.Mentoring of junior staffUnderstanding of current federal and state regulations and guidanceCommunicate work progress and work scope modifications to project team.Assistance in the development of new policies and proceduresQUALIFICATIONSPreferred candidates will have:Degree in Civil, Biological Systems Engineering, or related fieldP.E. or P.G., preferred.Minimum of 5-6 years of engineering experienceExperience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft OfficeEffective communication – both oral and writtenEfficient time utilization as well as effective prioritization of tasks, and responsibilitiesAccountability for quality of work, project scope, schedule, and budgetField activity coordination and active problem-solving skills.Knowledge in agricultural livestock systems including animal housing, waste storage, pumping stations, and piping systems a plus.Knowledge of NRCS and DNR Standards and specificationsHighly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.BENEFITSCompetitive salary based on value of skills.Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term DisabilityPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)ESOP Company OwnershipTuition Reimbursement401k Retirement PlanSigma strives to employ and retain highly motivated and passionate industry leading professionals who want to make a difference.The Sigma Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action Employer.
