We are intentional about who we serve, how we practice, and how we support our clinicians.About the opportunity: This position is designed to support accurate, ethical autism diagnoses while ensuring families receive clear guidance and appropriate next steps. The licensed psychologist's primary responsibility is to conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for children whose presenting concerns are consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder. When assessment findings indicate that a child does not meet criteria for an autism diagnosis, the expectation is to provide clear clinical feedback and refer the family to an external provider for further evaluation or alternative diagnoses. This role is not intended to provide diagnostic services for conditions outside of autism, such as ADHD or other behavioral or developmental disorders. Maintaining this focused scope allows the licensed psychologist to work at the top of their license, preserve clinical integrity, and dedicate their time to evaluations aligned with Autism 360's clinical services.Key responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based autism diagnostic evaluationsComplete in-person assessmentsUtilize standardized diagnostic tools and clinical judgment to determine ASD criteriaCommunicate findings clearly and compassionately to familiesRefer out cases that do not meet criteria for autism diagnosisProduce timely, high-quality diagnostic reportsCollaborate with clinical leadership to ensure consistency and quality across assessmentsRequired credentials:Licensed psychologist (LP) in the state of North Carolina (or license-eligible)Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in psychology from an accredited programFormal training and experience in autism diagnostic assessmentProficiency with standardized tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, or equivalentEligibility to practice in compliance with state and federal regulationsIdeal background:Experience conducting pediatric autism evaluationsComfort working in a center-based, onsite clinical modelStrong diagnostic judgment and confidence setting clinical boundariesClear, empathetic communication style with familiesAbility to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teamsPosition details:Full-time, salaried roleCompetitive salary starting at $100K based on experienceOnsite position within the Greater Charlotte areaAssessment-focused scope with no therapy caseloadBenefits:Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysProfessional development and continuing education supportStable, full-time schedule with a defined scope of workSupportive clinical leadership and collaborative work environmentEqual employment opportunity statement: Autism 360 is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
