Job Title: Automation Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Onsite in Indianapolis, INJob Type: Full-Time, Direct HirePay: $125,000-$145,000/year, dependent on experienceResponsibilitiesParticipate in design reviews for automated equipment developmentLead integration efforts for new automated systems, including testing and qualificationOwn and sustain equipment performance, driving continuous improvementMonitor equipment health and apply data analysis to identify root causes and corrective actionsChampion cross-functional initiatives to maintain high Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)Evaluate processing conditions and material properties using Statistical Process ControlManage process conditions to meet control documentation and product specificationsOperate and improve mechanical and electromechanical systemsLead process improvement initiatives focused on performance and cost optimizationApply structured problem-solving tools such as DMAIC and Design of Experiments (DOE)Define and implement processing conditions for new equipment and materialsDevelop programs to support ongoing manufacturing improvementsOversee qualification of new equipment, processes, and materialsTrain operations personnel on equipment and process standardsProvide timely disposition of nonconforming product and support corrective action effortsTrack and report line yield and efficiency metricsInvestigate quality issues and support implementation of corrective actionsCollaborate on safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiativesInterface with customers as needed for technical supportEnsure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials EngineeringMinimum of 4-6+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineeringProven ownership of equipment from deployment through long-term supportStrong ability to manage and optimize process parametersExperience with PLC equipment (Programmable Logic Control), and robotics toolingSkilled in problem definition, data collection, and root cause analysisComfortable interpreting complex variables and drawing conclusionsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologiesFamiliarity with SPC and other statistical techniquesMake the most of your experience!Apply now!Impellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
