Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Name: Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: Chantilly, VAWork Schedule: Full-TimeClearance Required: Active Secret or Top Secret ClearanceJob Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and electrical design expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial site surveys through final inspection. In this role, you will serve as the electrical discipline lead, overseeing project execution while mentoring engineers and designers. You will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical systems, preparing technical documentation, ensuring quality standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related project matters.Lead projects independently from concept through completion.Conduct field surveys and evaluate existing conditions.Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and project specifications.Design lighting, power, fire alarm, telecommunications/data, and related electrical systems.Review construction submittals and respond to RFIs during bidding and construction.Conduct and document final inspections and generate as-built drawings.Perform quality control reviews and ensure compliance with project schedules and budgets.Required QualificationsU.S. Citizenship & Secret Security Clearance.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.10+ years of experience designing and specifying:Lighting systemsPower systemsFire alarm systemsTelecommunications/data systemsMedium-voltage power systemsUPS and emergency generator systemsGrounding and utility systemsExperience supporting commercial, government, and institutional renovation and new construction projects.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKM.Preferred QualificationsTop Secret Security Clearance.Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification.LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.To discover more about this opportunity!
