Prepare all served food. Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours. Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions. Follow standard recipes and special diet orders. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.Responsibilities:Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practicesEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stockEnsure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roastersSeason and cook food according to recipes.Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalismQualifications:Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred, not required.ServSafe or Food Handler's certification preferred, not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPrioritization and organization of multiple tasksEffective communication skillsAbility to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavyAbility to work standing for extended periods of timeAbility to read and follow recipesComplete our short application today!
