Production Support Maintenance Tech I (2nd Shift)

Job Summary: Provides support to the operations and manufacturing areas ensuring waste removal and machine maintenance.Essential Job FunctionsPerforms preventative and reactive maintenance on the chip removal and coolant processes within the machine shop and paint boothPerforms preventative maintenance on all production equipmentPerforms coolant and sump sludge waste removal and replenishmentRemoves and replaces chip waste disposal and binsRetains parts maintenance schedules and recordsOperate CNC machines, in a limited capacity, when performing maintenancePerforms coolant and soap percentage to water testingHandles and assists in the collection, transport, and disposal of all manufacturing byproducts; both non-hazardous and hazardousComplies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team memberParticipates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goalsProvides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications3 years of experience preferredMechanical experience and/or background preferredOSHA 10 Certification preferredBasic Computer Skills including iPad usageHandy with hand tools and wrenchesAbility to replace consumable parts.Ability to conduct routine preventive maintenance, and inspections.Ability to operate and clean department equipment.Basic understanding of lubricants and cutting fluids.
