River City Bicycles is proud to sponsor local cycling organizations like Northwest Trail Alliance, Tabor Race Series, and Sorella Forte.Role DescriptionThe salesperson is the first point of contact for customers. As such, it is your duty to immediately present your best, most helpful self and guide each customer through their experience at River City. You are the face and voice of our brand, and it is your expertise, enthusiasm for our work, and positive personality that make River City E-Bikes the destination bike shop that it is.Your primary focus is always the customer. Other workplace responsibilities should be set aside in order to assist anyone who walks into the store.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Helping customers in the storeSelling bicycles, components, and accessories. This is your primary function at the shop, and you should feel familiar and comfortable with all the bikes we sellCommitment to learning as much as you can about the products we stockTracking and managing special orders, layaways, and sales from start to finishAnswering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department as neededCleaning the store and keeping the sales floor and other shop spaces organized and good-lookingRestocking products from backstock onto the sales floorCommunicating with service, shipping, receiving, warranty, and office staff to ensure smooth operation between interconnected departmentsMaintaining flexibility and willingness to do what needs to be done when directed by managementIf you have no pressing tasks at hand, seeking out something to do: cleaning, restocking, inventory counting, or whatever else management suggestsChecking Eddy and work email every workdayUnderstanding and utilizing our electronic inventory system to check stock and maintain inventory accuracyShift4-5 days a week, always includes 1 weekend dayEmployee BenefitsHourly rate + 1% bike commissionProvidence health insurance (eligible the first of the month after hire)Dental, vision, and AFLAC available (pre-tax deductions)PTO begins accruing on day oneSafe Harbor 401(k) with 4% matchEmployee purchase program at cost + 10%Access to industry EP programs
