At Avivo, our employees work with utter commitment to their clients, embracing the full person, believing in the dignity of all people.Avivo is bringing Avivo Village to St. Cloud.Building on the success of Avivo Village North Loop in Minneapolis, Avivo is opening Avivo Village Central Minnesota, a newly constructed location designed to provide low‐barrier, trauma‐informed emergency shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in the St. Cloud area.We are seeking a Program Manager, Shelter Operations who is excited to help implement an established Avivo Village model while playing a key role in shaping how that model is brought to life in a new community—establishing strong operations, a supportive staff culture, and effective community partnerships from the beginning.This is a leadership opportunity grounded in a trusted framework, with meaningful influence during program launch and early operations.Why This Role Is UniqueA brand‐new Avivo Village location in St. Cloud, opening its doors for the first timeA proven, well‐established shelter model, informed by years of experience in MinneapolisMeaningful leadership presence during program launch, staffing, and operational start‐upA 32‐hour work week with full‐time benefits, supporting sustainable and effective leadershipYou will not be creating a new model—but you will help ensure it is implemented with care, consistency, and responsiveness to the St. Cloud community.About the RoleAs Program Manager, Shelter Operations, you will oversee the day‐to‐day operations of Avivo Village Central Minnesota, providing leadership to a 24/7 team of frontline shelter staff and ensuring high‐quality, dignity‐centered services for shelter guests.Key responsibilities include:Lead staff in delivering low‐barrier, trauma‐informed, wellness and safety focused shelter servicesSupport consistent implementation of the Avivo Village program model within a new locationProvide hands‐on, visible leadership during program launch and ongoing operationsSupervise, coach, and develop frontline staff across shiftsRespond to urgent situations and support staff through crisis responseEstablish strong communication practices, staffing rhythms, and operational consistencyBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with local partners, funders, and stakeholdersThis role blends people leadership, operational oversight, and on‐site presence, particularly during the early stages of the program.Schedule & Work ExpectationsThis position is a 32‐hour per week role (Wednesday - Saturday) with full‐time benefits.Typical work expectations include:Regular schedule of Wednesday - Saturday with primarily daytime hours, with some evening hoursOccasional overnight shifts based on program needsParticipation in a shared on‐call rotation, distributed among shelter leadership for designated periods during the monthSpecific details regarding overnight frequency and on‐call expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Minimum Education RequiredEducation & Experience RequirementsRequired QualificationsAssociate degree in a human services or related fieldWith an associate degree, a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing direct services in shelter operations, behavioral health, or community‐based settingsWith a bachelor's degree in a human services or related field, a minimum of two (2) years of direct service experienceAt least two (2) years of supervisory experience, which may include supervision of staff, interns, or volunteersExperience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and complex needsDemonstrated ability to lead teams in fast‐paced, 24/7 environmentsCommitment to delivering wellness and safety focused, trauma‐informed services rooted in dignity and respectMinimum Experience RequiredPreferred QualificationsExperience working in adult emergency shelters or residential programsExperience in behavioral health, community mental health, or crisis‐response settingsOperational leadership experience, including staffing coverage and day‐to‐day program oversightExperience supporting staff during crisis situations with professionalism and sound judgmentFamiliarity with electronic health records or documentation systemsLived experience related to homelessness, recovery, or substance use is valuedShiftFirst (Day)Number of Openings1Veterans Encouraged to ApplyYesPhysical RequiredNoDrug Test RequiredNoCompensation$59,344.00 -
