Apply for Job Job ID 84458 Location Sacramento Full/Part Time Full Time Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Job Summary #CA-DK #48XClinsupport Under general supervision, the angiography technologist performs and/or assists with routine and highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures on patients following established parameters/protocols for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Assist in maintaining a smooth operational flow and maximum patient volume. Scrubs in and assist the physician during the procedure, circulates within the procedure room and procure all equipment needed for any given procedure, positions the patient, selects radiation exposure parameters and image the patient. Maintains a high degree of accuracy and an awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with any invasive procedure. Demonstrates a thorough understanding and working knowledge of normal anatomy, abnormal anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation. Recognizes and resolves equipment operations, problems and discrepancies. Anticipates patient needs and concerns and determines the appropriate care needed. Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures. Performs calmly in stressful situations and interacts with radiologists, clinicians and peers in a cooperative, harmonious manner for maximum effectiveness. Will be required to take call on a rotational basis. Apply By April 12, 2026 at 11:59 pm; Interviews maybe held at anytime Minimum Qualifications For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the positionCertified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Valid CA Fluoroscopy Permit required American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR No Minimum Education required No Minimum Work Experience required Knowledge and ability to operate radiology equipment, such as, radiographic/fluoroscopic machines, Interventional Radiology equipment, associated surgical equipment, CT & US equipment, and auxiliary equipment to provide quality images. Must be able to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as the radiological field advances. Assist physicians with specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures by handling equipment, preparing procedure and instrument trays, prepping, and explaining procedures to patients and other related tasks under supervision of an Interventional Radiologist. Comprehensive knowledge of radiology principles and practices including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning, surgical and nursing procedures. Ability to remain flexible with scheduling changes throughout day to accommodate patient care needs. Ability to use basic nursing skills and CPR. Skill to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, in person and written document. Skill to organize workload by priority to produce a sufficient volume of work in a timely manner. Ability to react quickly and knowledgeably in emergency situations. Must be a self-starter requiring minimal direction from supervisor or physicians. Ability to display common sense and good judgement in following rules, protocols, policies and procedures. Knowledge and ability to fill out departmental and hospital report forms and records. Ability to perform on an independent level, using initiative and ingenuity to assist the Radiologist in achieving a diagnosis.
