This role is ideal for someone who leads without authority, grounds decisions in data and customer learning, and feels personally accountable for the results their team delivers.You'll work as part of an empowered, cross‐functional team focused on solving real customer problems and creating measurable business impact.What You'll DoOwn Outcomes, Not Just OutputYou are accountable end to end for the success of your product area.Own customer value, business impact, and long‐term product health for your product space.Define clear outcomes and success metrics so the team focuses on solving the right problems.Continuously evaluate results using qualitative and quantitative data, adjusting direction as needed.Make thoughtful tradeoffs that balance short‐term impact with long‐term sustainability.Lead Through InfluenceYou bring clarity and alignment without relying on formal authority.Influence leaders by clearly communicating insights, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations.Align cross‐functional partners—including design, engineering, data, marketing, operations, and sales—around shared goals and outcomes.Create clarity within the team by articulating the "why," encouraging healthy debate, and enabling strong decision‐making.Practice Strong Product DiscoveryYou help the team learn quickly and build the right solutions.Partner closely with design, engineering, and others to discover solutions that are valuable, viable, feasible, and usable.Lead continuous discovery through customer research, experiments, prototypes, and data analysis.Define clear hypotheses, run experiments, and evaluate results with rigor.Use direct customer engagement and data to identify problems worth solving.Balance data with judgment, knowing when to dig deeper and when to make the call.What Success Looks LikeYour team consistently delivers measurable customer and business outcomes.Stakeholders trust your judgment, clarity of thinking, and recommendations.Engineers and designers feel empowered, informed, and motivated.Decisions are grounded in data, learning, and customer insight.The product space you own improves over time—not just in size, but in quality and impact.What We're Looking ForCore Skills & Mindset (Required)Strong ability to influence without authority.Demonstrated belief in and experience with empowered product teams.Comfort being accountable for results, not just plans or roadmaps.Excellent product judgment informed by data, discovery, and customer insight.Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.Experience (Required)5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role.Experience owning a product area or problem space with measurable outcomes.Proven use of data, experimentation, and customer learning to inform decisions.Experience partnering closely with design, engineering, and analytics.Experience (Preferred)Familiarity with modern product discovery and delivery practices such as continuous discovery, dual‐track development, and outcome‐based roadmaps.Experience working in cross‐functional, agile product teams.Exposure to complex or platform‐based product environments.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 116,200 - 193,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.At The Cigna Group, you'll enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, with a focus on supporting your whole health.
