PARKING GARAGE CASHIER/AMBASSADOR
PARKING GARAGE CASHIER/AMBASSADOR - PARKING DIVISION
Full Time - Monday 5:45am to 2:00pm, and Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-2:15pm
The Portland Parking Division is in search of an energetic cashier/ambassador. Work involves the collection of funds generated by the Parking Division’s facilities, and for maintaining and monitoring the uniform operation of the parking facilities and pay systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Cash handling
Cash drawer reconciliation
Security walkthroughs
Traffic management
Provides customer assistance
Monitors facility cameras
Performs general custodial work as required
Requirements:
Ability to interact with City employees and the public in a courteous, helpful manner.
Ability to work in the confined space of a tollbooth as well as in hot and cold temperatures.
Prior cash handling and cashier experience in a Windows-based computer environment desired.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be on foot for extended periods at a time

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 3) - Salary starting at $17.19/hr.
