Office Assistant and Lead Caregiver
This individual will answer incoming calls and welcome visitors by greeting, and directing them appropriately. They will notify company personnel of calls, messages and visitor arrival, while maintaining security and utilizing the telecommunications system at all times.Essential DutiesEssential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties may be performed as assigned or required. Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, and answering and/or referring their inquiries Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; providing instructions as necessary ? Take calls after hours and weekends to handle emergencies, scheduling issues and client referrals/intakes, works caregiver shifts when necessary Maintain telecommunication system, following manufacturer’s instructions. Perform general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distribute mail, provide reception coverage, telephone services, etc. Assists in with schedule and care coordination as need arises. Conducts introductions of caregivers to clients Orient caregivers and maintain current caregiver files in accordance with policies/procedures; may perform on-going caregiver training Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Is an active participant in ongoing Quality Improvement procedures Stay current with changing technology, including software programs Data entry and file management as needed Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and proceduresQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.Education/Experience High school diploma/general education degree (GED); or one (1) to two (2) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, or CNA required Proficiency with Microsoft and/or Google suite required Most possess and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skillsLanguage Skills Ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. ? Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.REASONING ABILITY Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to problem-solve Ability to discern when to escalate client situations, such as calling a Supervisor or 911
