We're looking for a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team!Learn more about the Evaluation & Treatment Center: https://www.olvhs.org/etcPay Range: $16.14- $26.89/hourJob Summary:Under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), this position is responsible for modeling and carrying out behavior support plans (BSPs), which could include teaching various skill building or behavior reduction techniques with children and young adults. They will also assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), collect data and provide training to caregivers so they can ensure follow-through at home.Essential Job Duties:Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children and their familiesAssist LBA with the development of FBAsAssist LBA with the creation of BSPsTeach specific skills required for skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction as outlined in the child's BSPParticipate in consultation and meeting sessionsAnswer questions from children and their familiesObserve child behaviors to collect dataInform parents and other caregivers about behavioral intervention findingsPerform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.Skills:Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Natural ability to connect with children and parentsGood time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMinimum Education Required:High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.Minimum Experience Required:At least 3 years' experience working with children and families preferredLicense/Registration/ Certifications Required:Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferredTraining Requirements:New Hire OrientationPhysical Requirements:The constant physical demand of the position is sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, vision to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
