Our talented craftspeople transform our clients’ designs into custom made fixtures, display cases, and architectural woodwork that help them stand out among the crowd.The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects involving the manufacturing and installation of store fixtures in new and existing facilities.The Project Manager will track all projects, follow-up on all critical path items, inform team of potential risks, and ensure projects are on time and on budget.The Project Manager must be organized, detail-oriented, have exceptional communication skills and must be comfortable with demanding schedules.RESPONSIBILITIES: Take ownership of projects upon the turn-over from estimating. Create Job Schedules for new jobs (defines project timelines). Reviews shop drawing prints prior to submittal to client. Coordinate and perform site visits for field dimension and site conditions. Coordinate delivery, installation, and punch list dates with job site and client. Review punch list items with install lead and client. Proactively solve problems that arise with any project. Ability and willingness to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Schedule fill-in Project Managers when on vacation or unavailable. Coordinate any repairs and warranty work with Paragon and clients. Partner with the Estimating Team to review modifications to when clients request changes involving additional costs. Routinely monitors project budget with forward-thinking approach to save dollars. Initiate post project meetings. Review redlines with Engineering Department. Attend all appropriate Company meetings. Interface daily on current project coordination with Production and Engineering Make follow-up call to client Project Manager upon job completion Review all addendums and notify proper departments of changes. Maintain Project Folder and update as needed. Assure all departments have job costing data entered in a timely manner to ensure accurate reports are maintained. DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must have at minimum a high school diploma with 5 years of related experienceMust have a high understanding of cabinet, millwork and construction installation techniques. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to read shop drawings, architectural drawings, and design sketches accurately and interpret information contained in these documents for application in the engineering and production departments. Must have exceptional communication skills exhibiting a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor. This position requires the ability to work with minimal direction and requires above average communication skills. This position’s requirements and duties will change often, sometimes on a daily or hourly basis. The P.M. must be able to work with several departments to coordinate activities to meet the needs of any project and manufacturing schedules. Travel as needed is required. Familiarity with AUTO Cad required; 3-D design and drawing and knowledge of machine programming is desirable. Must have basic understanding of cabinetry manufacturing techniques in a production facility. Advanced understanding of metal fabrication techniques in a production facility is desirable. Advanced computer skills needed with experience on Windows platform systems and MS Office. Must have basic understanding of Internet, printer/plotter, and LAN use. Must be able to learn new computer applications specific to Paragon Store Fixtures The ability to recognize and use value-added engineering is an ability that must be developed.
