Responsible for Admissions and Registration of international students including interpreting college, district and federal policies related to the admission and enrollment of the international student population. Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with diverse populations. Essential Functions 50% - Assists with planning, coordination, processing, and implementation of student service programs and triage for the Welcome Desk and International Education 40% - Admits and registers international and other student by phone, email and in person; tracks and enters student information into SIS; ensures accurate data entry and maintains confidentiality of student records; assists students with college admissions and registration policies and procedures as well as federal requirements, course selection, prerequisite verification, technology and resolves student issues; Provides information and technical assistance regarding program guidelines and applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations 10% - Processes request from international students for transcripts and verifications of enrollment; Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Desired Qualifications A. Associate degree or higher B. Experience working with College, District and federal regulations, policies and procedures C. Experience working in a high volume office providing customer service to diverse student populations while maintaining confidentiality D. Experience working in a college or university setting E. Excellent verbal and written communication skills F. Computer experience: MS Office, Google Suite, SIS G. Experience working with a team and independently Special Working Conditions Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver’s License and/or a GED Examiner certification may be required for some assignments. ADA and other requirements: Positions in this class typically require: fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
