AWS DevOps Engineer - AOP

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, highly available cloud platforms and real-time data applications within the Asset Optimization Platform (AOP) for Front Office Power Trading.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and operate AWS-based cloud platforms and microservices with a “you build it, you run it” approachManage Kubernetes/EKS workloads, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and platform operationsEnsure high availability, scalability, resilience, monitoring, and recovery capabilitiesContribute to AOP services, live-data processing, and model execution/data servicesImprove operational stability through incident management, post-mortems, and reliability enhancementsRequired SkillsHands-on AWS engineering experience with highly available or near real-time systemsStrong experience with Kubernetes/EKS and microservices architecturesExpertise in Terraform and/or CloudFormationExperience building and operating CI/CD pipelinesStrong monitoring, logging, and alerting knowledgeProduction operations experience including incident handling and reliability improvementsExperience within Asset Optimization Platform (AOP) environmentsPreferredAWS Well-Architected Framework knowledgeEvent-driven architectures and streaming systemsAzure DevOps experienceBlue/green or canary deployment strategiesStrong IAM and Terraform best practicesFinOps and cloud cost optimization awarenessOthersWillingness to travel to Germany 1-2 days/weekCandidates should be able to provide brief project examples demonstrating AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and operational ownership experience.
