RN Clinical Training and Development Manager

RN Clinical Training & Development ManagerSeeking an experienced RN Clinical Training and Development Manager to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives across senior living communities. This role reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and is responsible for developing and implementing clinical training programs, supporting staff competency development, and improving clinical outcomes through education and data-driven performance improvement.RequirementsActive Registered Nurse license in DC, MD, and VA, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hireMinimum 3 years of experience as a clinical trainer, educator, or in a role providing clinical oversight within long-term careBachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; combination of education and 10+ years leadership experience in skilled nursing may be consideredBLS/CPR certification required; willingness to become a CPR/First Aid instructorStrong communication, coaching, and competency assessment skillsExperience evaluating and developing clinical competencies for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, GNAs, and other clinical staffProficiency with electronic medical records (PCC preferred) and training platforms such as ReliasKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement clinical education programs, including orientation, annual competencies, and leadership developmentAssess staff competencies and identify training and professional development needsPlan and deliver in-person training, clinical education, and competency validation programsMonitor clinical performance metrics and QAPI data to inform training initiatives and process improvementsSupport care coordination and evidence-based practice implementation across communitiesDevelop and maintain CNA training and preceptor programs to support onboarding and retentionDesign and oversee clinical onboarding programs for nursing staffProvide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to clinical staffEnsure compliance with regulatory standards and annual competency requirementsPartner with LPN and CNA training programs to support clinical placements and recruitment pipelinesProfessional ExpectationsMaintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and collaborationDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills when working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teamsStay current on federal, state, and regulatory changes affecting nursing practice
