Application DeveloperGovCIO is currently hiring for an Application Developer with an active Secret clearance to design, build, and modify application software. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA and will be a hybrid position.Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.Responsibilities:Design, build, and modify application software using a variety of programming languages, including Java, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and C#.Implement multiple design patterns such as MVC, web services, SOA, and/or microservices.Integrate COTS products, use APIs, interact with data repositories, and manage system interfaces.Manage legacy code and/or develop new code using container technologies such as Kubernetes.Develop and execute unit tests to verify code meets functional requirements.Identify applicable secure coding techniques to harden code.Check the code daily. Resolve integration issues, vulnerabilities, and functional defects.Minimize technical debt by applying coding standards and best practices.Work closely with Systems Analysts to build or modify software to meet the organization's business needs.Ensure all code conforms to government system security requirements.Qualifications:High School with 9+ years of application development (or commensurate experience)Clearance Required: Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitabilityCompany Overview:GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
