Our team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDivisional Accounting & Financial OversightOwn the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process for the Infrastructure Group, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage divisional general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and job cost accounting functionsPrepare and present divisional financial statements, variance analyses, and performance reports to senior leadershipDevelop and manage annual divisional budgets; monitor actuals vs. budget and provide actionable insightsOversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedule preparation, review, and analysis across all active projectsEnsure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirementsCoordinate with the Corporate Controller and CFO on consolidated reporting, audits, and financial strategyManage divisional cash flow forecasting and optimize billing cycles to support healthy liquidityProject Controls & Cost ManagementPartner with Project Managers and Superintendents to establish project budgets, cost codes, and WBS structures at project inceptionImplement and enforce robust cost control procedures to keep projects within budget parameters throughout the lifecycleTrack project financial performance using earned value analysis, cost variance reporting, and schedule impact assessmentsPrepare detailed monthly cost-to-complete forecasts and cash flow projections for all active infrastructure projectsMonitor and audit subcontractor billings, change order logs, and contract complianceIdentify potential cost overruns early and work collaboratively with project teams to develop corrective action plansConduct monthly project financial reviews with field teams to validate costs, quantities, and progressMaintain accurate project financial records in Procore and SAGE; ensure data integrity across all platformsTeam Leadership & Process ImprovementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing divisional finance team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvementStreamline communication and reporting workflows between accounting, project management, and field operationsDrive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the speed of financial decision-makingAssist in onboarding new projects and project teams, providing financial training and tools to support successIdeal Candidate Profile6+ years of progressive accounting and/or project controls experience, with at least 3 years in a construction environmentBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management required; CPA or similar certification a plusDeep expertise in construction job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project financial managementStrong understanding of the full construction project lifecycle—from pre-construction and buyout through closeoutProficiency in SAGE (strongly preferred) and Procore; advanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredHands-on experience with earned value analysis, cost-to-complete forecasting, and change order managementExceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into clear insightsProven communicator who can present financial information confidently to project teams, executives, and external stakeholdersSelf-motivated, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environmentCollaborative team player with the credibility and presence to influence field and operations leadershipSomeone who embodies our Core Values and sets the standard for financial excellenceWhat We OfferHigh-impact leadership role with direct influence over division-level financial strategy and outcomesCompetitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including performance-based bonus opportunitiesComprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance policy and short-term disability coverage401(k) with up to 4% company matchPaid time off (2 weeks per year), accrued weekly after employment begins9 paid holidays annuallyProfessional development and continuing education supportOpportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects across the countryA culture that values character, purpose, and innovationCareer advancement potential with a rapidly expanding industry leaderOur Core ValuesWe show GRIT in our unwavering determination to get the job done with GRATITUDE driving us.
