Software Engineer

POSITION SUMMARYStryde Group is hiring a Software Developer to take ownership of our internal and client facing technology platforms. This is a high impact role embedded directly with the Managing Director and the broader employee benefits and equine insurance practice. The developer will be responsible for advancing two flagship products. The right candidate is a builder who is comfortable shipping production code, integrating modern AI tooling, and working in a small senior team where decisions are made quickly and the bar for design and execution is high.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES•    Application Development. Design, build, and maintain production features across the Stryde Group Client Portal and You Da Bomb platforms using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, and Vercel.•    AI Integration. Implement and tune integrations with the Anthropic API (Claude Sonnet, Haiku, and Opus models) for in product features including the Bomb Bot concierge and client portal intelligence.•    Backend and Data. Model and manage Postgres schemas in Supabase, write secure server actions and API routes, and implement row level security policies appropriate to multi tenant SaaS.•    Payments and Auth. Build and maintain Stripe billing flows (subscription, metered, enterprise) and authentication systems including Clerk and enterprise SSO.•    Third Party APIs. Integrate HRIS, payroll, PEO, and rewards APIs including Tremendous, Finch, Merge, and similar partner platforms.•    UI and Design Execution. Translate product specifications into premium, SaaS quality interfaces using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. Match the visual bar of leading B2B software products.•    Code Quality. Maintain testing, code review standards, CI/CD pipelines on Vercel, and documentation in the StrydeGroup GitHub organization.•    Performance and Cost. Optimize Anthropic API usage to maintain the target of less than 1% of revenue spent on inference, including appropriate model routing between Haiku and Sonnet.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.•    Three to five years of professional software development experience shipping production web applications.•    Demonstrated proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Next.js 14 or newer (App Router).•    Hands on experience with Postgres and Supabase, including row level security and edge functions.•    Experience deploying and operating production applications on Vercel.•    Working knowledge of Stripe for subscription billing.•    Comfort with modern AI coding workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) and integration of LLM APIs into product features.•    Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to work directly with non technical leadership and translate business requirements into shipped software.•    Authorization to work in the United States. This role is in office at the Stryde Group Frisco, Texas location.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•    Prior experience building or scaling a B2B SaaS product, ideally in HR tech, insurance tech, or benefits administration.•    Experience with multi tenant architecture and enterprise security requirements (SOC 2, SSO, SAML).•    Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or PEO integrations (Finch, Merge, Tremendous, ADP, Gusto, Rippling).•    Experience implementing AI agents, retrieval augmented generation, or structured outputs with the Anthropic API.•    Background in Progressive Web App (PWA) development for mobile delivery.•    Prior startup or small team experience where the candidate owned features end to end.WHY STRYDE GROUPStryde Group is a Frisco, Texas based insurance brokerage and advisory firm operating across employee benefits, property and casualty, and specialty equine and bloodstock insurance. The firm is building software at the intersection of insurance, HR technology, and AI, with two products entering market in 2026. The Software Developer will report directly to the Managing Director and Chief Strategist and will have a clear seat at the table on product, technology, and strategic decisions. The role is built for a developer who wants to ship meaningful software, work with modern AI tooling every day, and see the direct impact of their work on a growing book of clients.HOW TO APPLYSubmit a resume, a brief cover note, and links to representative work (GitHub, portfolio, deployed projects) via LinkedIn, Indeed, or by emailing hudson.wilson@strydegroup.com directly.
