Electrical Engineer
The primary role of the Electrical & Controls Engineer is to work within the production team improving quality of the products we produce and increasing productivities as well as manufacturing capabilities. The position will interact with Sales and Customers to develop new products and will coordinate the development with the operation’s team. The position will research new technology to expand the capabilities of the production lines. The position will review the production lines to identify manufacturing bottlenecks or areas of inefficiencies and will design and implement solutions
The position interacts with Sales, Maintenance, QA, Production, Service, Controlling, customers, suppliers and HR on a daily basis to provide and receive feedback regarding quality, new product development, customer (both internal and external) commitments, employee relations, specifications and production schedules.
Responsibilities:

Rapid and frequent customer and production demands create pressure needs for information and manufacture performance. The performance of the organization is directly affected by the quick and accurate decision making from this position.
Ability to supply accurate and timely information, in many cases on short notice and in a expedient fashion. Dealing with suppliers of equipment used for manufacturing creates the need for knowledge of a wide range of equipment and manufacturing processes used in production and packaging
Interacts with the production lines to identify and resolve manufacturing issues whether they are quality, safety or efficiencies in nature.
Interact with sales and/or customers to review request for new products and develop manufacturing processes to produce in a safe and cost effective manner
Develop detail timeline schedules for the implementation of new equipment or new manufacturing processes and track progress to the timeline.
Report variances to the timelines
Track and report actual costs to budgets for assigned projects
Develop long term manufacturing plans to support the current and future needs of the markets we serve.
Accuracy, dedication and commitment to the job are important. A strong self-starter, self-motivated attitude is needed. This position has a hectic daily routine. Ability to handle several requests from various areas all at the same time is needed. Job can be demanding, as time constraints to get work done quickly and accurately are ever present.
Requirements:

Experienced in manufacturing as a electrical and controls engineer.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering is required.
Detail experience in software programming and industrial controls is also required.
Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley systems is preferred.
Knowledge of SAP, Excel spreadsheets, Word, e-mail, and Access.
Must possess analytical abilities and skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to deal with multiple projects and the same time.
This position must be capable of operating under constant pressure and change management requirements comfortably.
This position must hold the ability to influence several layers across several work functions within the organization.
