Software Engineering (Data & DevOps) - Remote (Brazil, Mexico, or Costa Rica)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Specialist to join our global data team. This role focuses on the stability and scalability of our data ecosystem, specifically supporting Snowflake workflows and optimizing migrated BigQuery pipelines. You will be instrumental in integrating international logic into global pipelines to support long-term standardization across the organization.Technical RequirementsYears of Experience: 12–15 years overall, with 7–9 years of specialized engineering experience.Core Cloud Stacks: Expertise in GCP (BigQuery, Composer) and Snowflake.Languages: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Airflow.DevOps: Strong working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.Data Modeling: Expert understanding of Data Warehousing (Star Schemas, Dimensional Modeling) and OLTP vs. OLAP.Key ResponsibilitiesWorkflow Management: Support existing Snowflake workflows and stabilize recently migrated BigQuery pipelines.Global Integration: Integrate International Paramount logic into global data pipelines to ensure scalability.Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across hybrid environments (AWS, GCP, Snowflake).Optimization: Monitor and optimize pipeline runtime, compute usage, storage tiering, and query costs (specifically within BigQuery).Data Governance: Establish and manage data quality checks, validation logic, and reconciliation processes.Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation for all technical architectures and pipeline deployments.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.Environment: Experience working in high-scale, hybrid cloud environments.Industry: Familiarity with media/streaming data (Adobe/Orion) is a significant plus.
