Job SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance and facility support operations within an aerospace and industrial manufacturing environment. This role provides direct supervision to Maintenance Mechanics and janitorial staff to ensure production equipment reliability, facility infrastructure integrity, and workplace cleanliness. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively, downtime is minimized, and safety and regulatory compliance standards are maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Equipment ReliabilitySupervise daily maintenance operations for production equipment and facility systemsAssign and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance taskso Properly document and maintain documentation to support internal and external auditsOversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsPerform minor repairs on HVAC equipmentMonitor equipment performance and minimize production downtimeEnsure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and documentedSupport installation, relocation, and commissioning of new equipment including safety evaluation and releaseAbility to read and understand equipment manuals and/or schematicsFacilities & Infrastructure OversightOversee maintenance of HVAC, compressed air, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and building systemsCoordinate external contractors and service providersEnsure facility upkeep supports operational efficiency and safety standardsManage maintenance-related capital improvement projectsJanitorial & Workplace CleanlinessSupervise janitorial staff to maintain clean and organized production and office areasEnsure compliance with cleanliness standards required for aerospace manufacturingMonitor proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials, including record retentionPromote housekeeping standards consistent with safety and quality requirementsLeadership & Staff DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Maintenance Mechanics and janitorial staffParticipate in performance evaluations and provide training as neededEnsure appropriate staffing and skill coverage across shiftsPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementSafety & Regulatory ComplianceEnforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies, including but not limited to proper guarding and electrical safetyEnsure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followedConduct safety inspections and address hazards promptlyInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsSupport compliance with AS9100 and environmental regulationsContinuous Improvement & ReportingTrack KPIs including equipment downtime and response associated with maintenance request ticketsIdentify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtimeSupport implementation of maintenance tracking systemsProvide regular performance reports for Operations leadershipEducational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferredAssociate degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering, or related field preferredRequired Experience5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance3+ years of supervisory or team lead experienceExperience maintaining CNC or automated production equipmentExperience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsIn-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of preventive maintenance programsUnderstanding of OSHA safety regulations and LOTO proceduresOrganizational and project management skillsEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in AS9100-certified aerospace manufacturing environmentsPLC troubleshooting experienceLean Manufacturing trainingForklift or equipment certificationWorking ConditionsManufacturing floor and facility environmentExposure to machinery, industrial equipment, oils, and cleaning chemicalsFrequent extended hours for emergency repairs or facility issuesInteraction with production, engineering, and operations teamsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periodsAbility to lift and move tools or equipment (up to 50 lbs)Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated areasAbility to visually inspect equipment and gaugesManual dexterity for use of tools and equipmentCompliance & Other RequirementsAdherence to AS9100 quality management system proceduresCompliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policiesCompliance with ITAR and export control regulationsAbility to maintain accurate maintenance records and audit-ready documentationU.S. Person status may be required due to ITAR regulations
