HVAC EstimatorLocation: Farmingdale, NYEmployment Type: Full-TimeCompensation: up to $90KPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our growing team in Farmingdale, NY. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed HVAC cost estimates for commercial and residential projectsReview project plans, specifications, and bid documentsPerform quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and materialsSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricingAnalyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accurate proposalsDevelop and submit competitive bids and proposals within required deadlinesAssist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendationsSupport project managers during project handoff and executionMaintain accurate estimating records and historical cost dataParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as neededQualifications3+ years of experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar estimating roleStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methodsExperience estimating commercial HVAC projects; residential experience a plusAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid driver’s license and ability to attend local site visits on Long IslandPreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with Long Island and NYC building codesExperience working with union and non-union labor environmentsKnowledge of value engineering and cost analysisBackground working with mechanical contractors
