Location: Boston, MA, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, or Palo Alto, CA | HybridSalary Range: $98K-$141K depending on experience and locationSchedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | Rotational on-call weekend coverage 2-3 times/yearAbout the OpportunityA prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Senior Research Analyst to provide advanced legal research, business intelligence, and AI-powered research support to attorneys and business professionals across multiple practice areas.This role is ideal for an experienced research professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about leveraging AI research tools, legal analytics, and innovative research strategies to drive impactful results.Qualifications & SkillsMLIS, MLS, J.D., or equivalent required5+ years of professional research analyst experience, including legal researchExperience within a law firm, legal services, or professional services environment is strongly preferredAdvanced knowledge of legal databases, business intelligence tools, and AI research platformsStrong analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skillsExperience mentoring or training colleagues preferredAvailability for occasional on-call weekend rotations (2–3 times annually)ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-level legal research, competitive intelligence, and business research support to attorneys and senior stakeholdersConduct complex research across litigation, regulatory, corporate, and industry mattersServe as a subject matter expert in AI-powered legal research tools and generative AI platformsGuide attorneys and colleagues on responsible and effective AI-assisted research workflowsMentor and train research staff on advanced research methodologies and emerging technologiesMonitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments and contribute to internal alerts and publicationsSupport research strategy, process improvement initiatives, and evaluation of emerging research technologiesMaintain exceptional client service through strong communication, collaboration, and responsivenessTake the Next Step in Your CareerReady to shape the future of AI-enabled legal research while working alongside top legal professionals?
